Alexander Malyshev is an associate with the law firm of Stern & Kilcullen, practicing in the firm's Litigation Group. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, the District of New Jersey, and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Mr. Malyshev was born in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad) in the former Soviet Union, now Russia. Several years later Mr. Malyshev and his family moved to Haifa, Israel, where he completed junior high school with a specialty in computer science. During that time he became fluent in Hebrew and English, in addition to Russian.
Mr. Malyshev’s next move was to the United States, where he
ultimately attended high school, college, and law school. He earned a B.A.
in Political Science at Montclair State University, cum laude. At New
York Law School he was on the Dean’s List several times and on graduation
earned the Mund Award for Excellence in Technology and the Law.
Mr. Malyshev was active in a number of other Law School activities: Staff Editor of the Media Law & Policy journal (with an article forthcoming); an associate at the Media Center; and Research Assistant to its director. In addition, he twice served as an intern to the Board of Public Utilities Section of the New Jersey Attorney General (2007, 2008).
While pursuing his professional callings, Mr. Malyshev also earned a Black Belt in Karate.
