Dean Donatelli

Dean Donatelli is of counsel to the firm and focuses his practice in the areas of real estate and transactional law, and related corporate and litigation matters with a particular emphasis on acquisitions and dispositions, financing, leasing, construction and land use.

 

            Prior to joining Stern & Kilcullen, Mr. Donatelli served as in-house counsel with multi-national and publicly-traded real estate companies and handled matters of development, leasing, corporate governance, condominium formation and registration, construction contracting and construction-related litigation.  He has represented and closely advised clients in transactional and land use matters involving more than 15 million square feet of industrial and retail space and over 1,000 market rate and affordable housing units in the most competitive and heavily regulated markets of New Jersey and New York.

 

             Mr. Donatelli began his career as an associate with Drinker Biddle & Reath, where he represented New Jersey-based companies in acquisitions and dispositions, financing, leasing, construction and ground-up development involving properties of varying uses and environmental complexity.  He also represented private and corporate borrowers in the placement of mortgage financing and debt, and played a lead role in obtaining federal, state and local approvals for development of several million square feet of commercial space.

 

            Before entering private practice, Mr. Donatelli completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Howard H. Kestin of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.
