Samuel A. Stern, Partner

Sam Stern is a partner in the Palm Beach office. He is a litigator and trial lawyer focusing on complex civil litigation, internal investigations, and white collar criminal defense.


Mr. Stern is a former federal and state prosecutor. He was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey, an Assistant Prosecutor in Hudson County, New Jersey, and an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County, Florida. Before joining the firm, he was the founding partner of Stern LLC.


Mr. Stern teaches trial advocacy to law students and experienced lawyers at the University of Miami School of Law and at the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law. He is the author of the book The Absolute Beginner's Guide to Cross-Examination (Skyhorse Publishing).


Mr. Stern received his B.A. from Hobart and Williams Smith Colleges and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He was elected to the Board of Trustees at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2019.


Mr. Stern is a member of the Florida Bar, the New Jersey Bar, the New York Bar, and the District of Columbia Bar.
